Care and Support at Home
myCare’s care at home service offers the highest quality personal care and support at home. We are committed in ensuring that all our customers who need support can get the right level of help when they most need it. Our aim is to facilitate our clients remaining in their own homes with dignity, independence and control over their lives. Regardless of the level of support needed, a member of the myCare team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
For some the reassurance and companionship gained from having one of our carers visit for a few hours a day to assist around the house will be enough. Others however will require more intensive 24-hour care which can be provided on either a live-in or live-out basis. Regardless of the level of need the team at myCare will always work with you to design a support package that will facilitate you or your loved one to live life, at home, to the full.
How can our home care and support help you?
Our support can help you to retain your independence in your own home, and avoid the need for more expensive care such as in a care home
Will Mum / Dad be looked after properly?
Our staff are fully trained and supported in their role. We check in regularly to ensure our quality levels are being achieved and are responsive to any feedback received from family or friends.
Will the support be appropriate for Mums / Dad’s needs?
Our support planning is personalised and based upon the outcomes required from the service. Our assessments are done electronically and with the family / friends present if this is your wish. Our support plans are built round the individual.
Some examples of the types of services that myCare can assist with are detailed below, however, please understand that no two people are the same and everyone’s situation is different; please do not see the list below as being restrictive or exhaustive as we always design our personalised services around your unique circumstances.

We support by assisting, or doing practical tasks which may include (but is not limited to) the following:
- Help with housework
- Assistance with linen and laundry
- Preparation of meals
- Shopping and errands.
- Physical exercise and leisure trips.
- Reminders for medications.
- Assistance in planning and attending appointments, groups and clubs.
- Support with managing household bills
- Help with daily personal care activities like getting dressed, washing, going to the toilet.
- Assistance with reading, writing and household administration.
- Assistance around the home in arranging practical helps like maintenance and gardening.
- That’s not all – just ask!
Many people combine some practical home help with some personal home care as often, it is both that are needed.
We also help with arranging and planning a trip out, visits to friends and family, and support with social activities like attending a local coffee morning, or social clubs. We understand that it is not just home help that is asked for but also friendship and companionship.
What our clients say
“Having Brigita, Mums carer, is a Godsend! It really has “saved” Mum and us. Mum really seems to have taken to her and is very settled with her. They get on very well and Mum is chatting about lots of different things they discuss and starting to take an interest again. Mum is eating better and getting more sleep. We are not having to sleeping over and are all getting to “breathe” again. Words cannot express how all our lives have changed with the fantastic help and support Mum has been given to be able to continue to live in her own home and be as independent as possible”.
Note from Nick (Managing Director): Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback on our service. For me it’s seeing letters like this that gets me up in morning, knowing such a positive impact is being had on someones life. Thank you and we will make sure this lovely message gets back to Brigita.
“I just wish to express my sincere thanks to myCare and the team for everything you did for Mum. She looked forward to her carers visiting each day and special thanks must go to her regular carers who looked after her with so much respect, dignity, and tenderness and made her final days so peaceful. “
